The Primal Movement is a fitness and wellness company that focuses on creating happy, healthy lifestyles for long-term health. We take a progressive and pro-active approach rather than being set in our ways and reactive when we help our clients. We want to see people grow in multiple areas — from the way they train, to the way they eat, to the way they think.

That means adapting to all areas of development and integrating these approaches into healthy, well-balanced, happy lives. We take a holistic approach to living as our best selves, and our goal is to help you learn how to nurture and empower yourself in all aspects of your life and at any age.

We believe in the power of personal experience — that personal growth, nutrition, and fitness, integrated properly, transform a life. You don't have to take our word for it.

Personal Training

Our personal training services aren't specifically focused or geared towards one goal — that's a mindset we don't believe in. We do believe in healthy habits and developing a lifestyle that keeps you motivated to be active because being active feels good. We want you to feel good. All the time. When we move from the “I have to lose weight” mindset to the “I can't believe how strong I am” state of mind, the benefits spill over into every aspect of our lives.

Health and fitness have been a huge part of my life since 2006 when I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. Being hit with an autoimmune disease at the age of 15 was a huge eye-opener. Ever since, I have done my best to appreciate the life that I have been gifted by giving back to my body through healthy habits.

I quickly developed a passion for finding ways to optimize my health. In 2011, after a couple of years of University classes, I decided it was time to share that passion with others. I enrolled in the Exercise Science program at Lethbridge College, where I refined my skills for aiding people in success. Through years of experience and continuing education, I've developed a skill set geared towards helping people achieve their highest level of functionality through movement, mobility, nutrition, and other lifestyle influences. While individual goals may vary, the objective always starts with optimizing quality of life through intelligent movement.

My passion for health and fitness started in my late teens / early 20s. I enjoyed going to the gym with no real purpose or program to follow — I just knew I loved how it made me feel. I spent many years chasing one fad diet to the next. The constant influx of conflicting information coupled with these failed diets was not only frustrating, it was wreaking havoc on my mental health. I knew there had to be something more to it.

As a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition coach, I navigate through the noise of social media and bogus health and wellness claims. I'm fascinated by the science of nutrition, and equally fascinated by the fact that there is no one way for everyone. Our bodies and our needs are so different from one person to the next that my knowledge base is continuously expanding.

I also hold a master-level certification in Life Coaching, and I'm so excited to offer these services to my clients. I deeply want to help people achieve their greatest goals and dreams. With the right tools and accountability in your corner, you can really do anything you want with your life — I want to be part of that for you.

Professionally periodized plans built around your goals, your space, and your equipment. Delivered through TrueCoach with instructional video, weekly check-ins, and direct messaging.

Coach

Mon–Fri 9–5 coach access, video analysis, technique feedback, and accountability. The work is yours; the strategy is ours.
